Five teenage girls between the ages of 14 and 19, who were allegedly kidnapped, have been rescued from a house in Springs on the East Rand.
The police's Thuvhulawi Thsilate says they received a tip-off that the young women were being kept as sex slaves.
He says four of the girls are from Balfour in Mpumalanga, and one from Springs.
Tshilate says the owner of the house, a 42-year old Nigerian national, has been arrested and will be charged with human trafficking, possession of drugs and possession of pornographic material.
The girls have meanwhile been taken to a place of safety.
