A man from Limpopo has been arrested for the brutal murder of his four children outside Burgersfort.
The 52-year-old man allegedly informed a neighbour about the murders on Tuesday and also indicated to him the places where the bodies were.
Police were informed and the lifeless bodies of three of his children aged five, seven and nine were found in nearby bushes whilst his three-year-old was found 3 km away.
The older children all had stab wounds while the youngest had an open wound.
Preliminary police investigations indicate that the father stopped a vehicle transporting his kids from school on Monday afternoon. The driver, who knew the man, released the children in the care of their father.
A 72-hour plan was activated by police and the man was subsequently arrested on Tuesday night in Ga-Pasha, Selatole village.
He will appear in court later this week where he will be charged with four counts of murder.
The children were identified as a nine-year-old boy Katlega Pasha, his two sisters seven-year-old sister Joyce and five-year-old Tshepo and a three-year-old boy Adel.
