A 26-year-old father has been arrested for allegedly killing his three-month-old baby boy, Kwazulu-Natal police said in a statement on Thursday.
Spokesperson Major Thulani Zwane said police received a tip off about his whereabouts and he was arrested on Wednesday night.
On Tuesday, April 12, he arrived at the mother’s house in Ingwavuma in the KwaMoyana reserve, and demanded to take the baby home with him.
“The mother refused and he became angry, took the child by force and threw her on the floor. The child sustained head injuries and was taken to hospital in critical condition,” Zwane said.
