Farm worker dies after being kicked by giraffe

A Limpopo farm worker has died after being kicked in the stomach by a giraffe at a lodge in Bela Bela.

Police said the 49-year-old man was feeding animals when the incident occurred on Saturday morning.

Spokesperson, Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, identified the worker as Rakatu Moiloa.

He said paramedics tried to resuscitate him but he was later declared dead.

Police have opened an inquest docket.
