Limpopo police have arrested three suspects following a robbery on a farm outside Phalaborwa on Sunday.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, said the breakthrough was made following a joint operation by various police units, private security officers and other role-players.
He said the suspects broke into the house of a farm employee on Sunday morning, tied him up, stole a shotgun, televisions and groceries before fleeing in the farm owners bakkie.
Ngoepe said police spotted the vehicle at Namakgale outside Phalaborwa and a chase ensued. "The vehicle lost control, knocked the boundary wall of a house in one of the streets and the suspects were all apprehended," he said.
One of the suspects arrested was among the men who had earlier escaped from police custody in Polokwane and who was initially arrested on a charge of murder.
"During the arrest, all the stolen items were recovered," he said.
The suspects are due to appear in court soon.
