Eskom says the recovery plan at the Mejuba Power Station is going well.
This, after a silo collapsed on Saturday.
Eskom's Andrew Etzinger says they may not need to do any load-shedding on Monday.
"At this point about 1200MW of the 3600MW normally produced at the power station is coming onto the grid. And, this gives us just enough relief to avoid load-shedding during the day," said Etzinger.
However, he said "we might still be under pressure in the early part of the evening from 6pm to 8pm but so far, so good. The system is tight but we're hanging in there and asking our customers to continue to please use electricity very sparingly so that we can proceed without implementing load-shedding," he added.
