Eskom says electricity supply for the first part of this week should be sufficient enough to avoid loadshedding.
The power utility's Andrew Etzinger told Algoa FM News that the situation could, however, change in the latter part of the week:
"We've been implementing loadshedding over the weekend and that was important to prepare us for the coming week. Our peaking power stations will be in a better position to operate in the coming week and certainly at this stage, between Monday and Wednesday we're not expecting a need for loadshedding. Later in the week, from Thursday or Friday, it all depends on the extent to which we'd needed to use our resources at those peaking power stations during the first part of the week."
