Eskom says it is concerned about its diesel reserves, which could affect electricity supply in the coming week.
Spokesperson, Andrew Etzinger says they have a certain amount of diesel, but not full capacity.
He says the system is expected to be tight in the early part of the week, but no rolling blackouts are scheduled.
Etzinger told Sapa they were concerned about the latter part of the week, if they were not able to get adequate supplies of diesel.
Eskom has alternative power stations which burn diesel, however, these are expensive to run and will normally only run at peak times.
