Eskom is breaking more environmental laws than any other state entity.
That's according to the latest National Environmental Compliance and Enforcement Report released today by Environment Minister Edna Molewa.
In the report the so-called Green Scorpions said that Eskom has the highest rate of non compliance of all state entities with respect to environmental legislation.
Howver, in spite of criminal investigations against Eskom, the Green Scorpions says the National Prosecuting Authority cannot prosecute Eskom because it's an organ of state, as defined in our National Environment Management Act.
