Eleven police officers arrested by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) appeared in the Mahlabathini District Court in KZN on Wednesday in connection with the death of Lindani Dlodlo.
He died in Ulundi, KwaZulu Natal, on the 7th of October last year.
The 11 officers are facing charges of murder, defeating the ends of justice and common assault charges.
They were granted bail of R3 000 each and will be back in the same court on the 23rd of March.
The accused are:

Khulekani Kenneth Gina (50) from Ulundi crime intelligence
Shengelezi Jabulani Buthelezi (53) from Mahlabathini SAPS
Sibusiso Brian Freeman Mhlongo (39) from Zululand Cluster SAPS
Njabulo Bhekelihle Wela, (37) from Magudu SAPS
Selby Sifiso Zulu (39) from SAPS Vryheid K9 Unit Ayanda Msomi (38), Mpiloyakhe Nkosiyodwa Magwaza (39), Lizwi Lindani Mvundla (37), Thabani Ndlovu, (45) and Sandile Michael Zama (36) all from Inanda Tactical Response Team (TRT).
