Eight killed in Swellendam accident

Eight people have been killed in a road accident on the N-2 outside Swellendam on Tuesday morning.

Western Cape traffic chief, Kenny Africa, says they accident victims were all employees at the Department of Correctional Services.

He says a minibus taxi and another vehicle were involved in the accident just after 7am.

Three people sustained minor injuries.

Africa says Forensics are still on the scene and the section of the N2 is expected to remain closed for some time.
