Eight illegal miners killed in Benoni

 Gauteng police are still searching for those responsible for the killing of 8 illegal miners at a gold mine in Benoni.

Spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Lungelo Dlamini says by Sunday afternoon, eight bodies had been found.

The motive for the killing is unknown.

Dlamini says all eight were shot in the upper body.

The bodies have not yet been identified.

On Saturday, security guards found several cartridges near the bodies.
