Basic Education Minister, Angie Motshekga says she is shocked by the murder of a teacher and Deputy Principal at the Phomolong High School in Tembisa on the East Rand.
The 50-year old was shot and killed by three gunmen while driving out of the school gate in broad daylight on Friday afternoon.
Motshekga says the police should leave no stone unturned and act with speed to arrest the criminals involved.
She says safety at schools remains a top priority of the Department as they focus on providing a conducive environment for learning and teaching.
