Sentencing proceedings against an Eastern Cape bus driver found guilty on 23 charges of murder, have been postponed in the Cape Town regional court.
Siza Nonama failed to show up in court today because he is ill.
Magistrate Bruce Langa authorised a warrant of arrest but held it over until next Thursday when Nonama is expected to present himself to court.
He was earlier convicted on 23 charges of murder following a plea agreement with the state.
This relates to a horrific bus accident in May 2010 when his vehicle went down an embankment in the Hex River Pass in the Western Cape.
His brother, who's the owner of the bus, was initially also charged with murder but the charges were later provisionally withdrawn.
