Durban man gets life for killing mom and daughters

A Durban man has been given three life sentences for killing a mother and her two daughters.

Collin Pillay (47) was jailed in the Durban High Court on Friday.

He was found guilty of killing his lover, Jane Govindsamy and her two daughters, Nikita (16) and Denisha (22) in their Phoenix home in September last year.

Their bodies were found by Govindasamy’s husband, Sagren.

Judge Philip Nkosi reportedly said during judgment on Thursday that the state had proved its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
