Duduzane Zuma: State failed to prove their case

Duduzane Zuma was on Friday found not guilty of negligent driving and culpable homicide, in the Randburg Magistrates' Court.

Delivering his judgement Magistrate Tebogo Thupaatlase said the State had failed to prove its case "beyond a reasonable doubt".

The charges related to a 2014 car crash that resulted in the death of Phumzile Dube.

The Zimbabwean woman died after Zuma’s Porsche crashed into a minibus taxi on the M1 highway in Johannesburg.

The 35-year-old Duduzane Zuma is the son of former president Jacob Zuma, who was present at the court.
