A disabled man has been caught with 1.2 kilograms of cocaine hidden in his suitcase at O R Tambo International Airport in Kempton Park.
Hawks spokesperson Paul Ramaloko says the 46-year-old, wheelchair-bound man was arrested in a sting operation carried out minutes after he arrived in the country from Dubai on Tuesday.
Two packets of cocaine were found in the back pockets of each of nine pairs of jeans in the man's suitcase.
The cocaine is worth an estimated R350 000 on the street.
Ramaloko says the man is a regular traveler and he is believed to be part of a bigger syndicate with international links dealing in drugs.
He is due to appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
