A diesel and petrol tanker have crashed on the N2 between the Chatsworth offramp and Queensburgh in Durban, causing a massive fire.
KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Services spokesperson, Robert McKenzie says paramedics who were at the scene of the accident, reported that two people were being treated for minor injuries.
According to a report from one of the drivers, one truck was parked in the breakdown lane when another truck rear ended it, the driver then veered across the road and collided with the Armco barriers between the North and southbound lanes
Netcare 911's Chris Botha says the fire department, ambulance services, police and traffic service arrived at the scene and found both trucks alight.
He says both drivers managed to escape unharmed.
Botha says firefighters managed to extinguish the flames at around 5am.
