Department of Correctional Services to conduct outreach programme

The Department of Correctional Services are conducting an Outreach Programme in the Garden Route this week.

The Department says its busy promoting its efforts of ensuring that prisons shift to institutions of new beginnings.

Department spokesperson, Logan Maistry, says they must therefore deliver justice for victims and ensure that offenders make restitution to society for their crimes while leaving prisons with better skills and prospects.

To this end, the Department of Corrections in the Western Cape is busy donating wheelchairs to disabled people in Knysna, Oudtshoorn, Plettenberg Bay, George and Mossel Bay.
