A 60-year-old man is expected to appear in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Tuesday for allegedly selling stolen goods.
Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo says the second-hand dealer was arrested at his premises in Fountainebleau in Lindon on Valentines Day.
He says police found 18 boats and 19 trailers that had their Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) tampered with.
Police also found stencils that are suspected to be used for installing new VIN numbers.
The business owner was arrested and charged with fraud, contravention of Second Hand Goods and the Road Traffic Act.
More charges could be added.
