The ANC has welcomed the decision from SAPS not to grant the Democratic Alliance the permission to march to Luthuli house on Tuesday.
The decision was reached following a security assessment which found that the threats associated with this march were too risky.
Helen Zille and the parties new presidential candidate Mamphela Ramphele planned to join thousands of people to march to Luthuli house to expose the ANC manifesto pledge of creating six million job opportunities as bogus .
The DA said in a statement that they will oppose the decision and have asked their lawyers to prepare an appeal to be lodged with the magistrate's court in terms of the Regulation of Gatherings Act.
