The leader of the DA, Helen Zille says the party might be governing the country sooner than some might think.
This, amid criticism from the Secretary-General of the SACP, Blade Nzimande, who told a KwaZulu-Natal ANC nomination conference in Durban on Saturday that the DA was a party of "white madams" and "white bosses".
Zille addressed delegates at her party's federal congress in Boksburg earlier on Saturday, saying the DA is not a party for racists.
Meanwhile, DA parliamentary leader, Lindiwe Mazibuko says president Jacob Zuma's presidency has nose-dived even faster than South Africa's credit rating.
She says they have filed their court papers to appeal the high court ruling that the motion of no confidence in Zuma will only be debated in February.
Mazibuko says it must be debated before the ANC's elective conference next month in Mangaung.
