Democratic Alliance leader, Helen Zille, says the ANC’s policy conference has dispelled any lingering hope that the ANC can still rescue South Africa from the consequences of 18 years of ANC rule.
She says if the conference resolutions are ever implemented, they will undoubtedly worsen the crisis of poverty, unemployment and inequality the ANC claims it wants to address.
The opposition leader said instead of the giant leap forward promised by Jacob Zuma, the conference instead endorsed re-hashed policy proposals adopted at Polokwane almost five years ago.
