A Cape Town granny, who turned 100 on Tuesday, is in high spirits. Instead of receiving presents for her birthday, Georgina Harwood opted to sky-dive Saturday, after inviting people to make donations to the National Sea Rescue Institute.
With the money they aim to buy 500 life-jackets.
"I'm feeling excited also a little bit afraid. It's a wonderful experience and think it's going to something I will enjoy it. I'm also so happy that other people are going to be able to share it with me," Harwood said.
"One of the things that has always been my ethos if there's something to be done, something interest, something nice, do it now," she add.
Harwood will be joined by her two sons, daughter and two great-grandchildren.
