COVID-19 infections in South Africa are on the rise, once again.
Health Minister, Joe Phaahla says they are monitoring the trend and will report back to the public.
In the last reporting period, 4,406 new cases were recorded representing a 15.8% positivity rate.
The NICD says 65 deaths were recorded on Thursday of which five were in the past 48 hours.
Minister Phaahla says they hope these numbers won't increase as we approach the winter season.
Since the start of the pandemic 100 276 South Africans have died.
There are currently 19 472 active cases in the country.
