Cosatu says it's committed to it's alliance with the ANC, despite it's call for President Jacob Zuma to step down.
Addressing the media on Tuesday, Cosatu called on the ANC's National Working Commitee to provide guidance on the way forward.
The federation's Secretary-general, Bheki Ntshalintshali said Cosatu would also communicate with its alliance partners, communities, and religious organisations.
Ntshalintshali said due to controversies surrounding president Zuma, Cosatu no longer believed in his leadership abilities.
He said Cosatu did not believe Zuma's Cabinet reshuffle was based on merit, but on political loyalty.
"We are currently experiencing a period of deep division withing the ANC and we believe the President's lack of constructive engagement added such division which impacts negatively on governance. He also failed to deal with some of the most incompetent ministers in his Cabinet, proving that this shuffle was not base on merit but political loyalty." he said.
