Correctional Services appalled at video showing drunk officer on duty (WATCH)

A video doing the rounds on social media, showing a drunk officer in uniform has angered the Department of Correctional Services.

The Department said they are aware of the video and absolutely appalled and aggrieved by it.

A Spokesperson Singababakho Nxumalo said such conduct can never be allowed and a full investigation has been instituted.

He said the service delivery charter clearly defines what is expected of a correctional officer and how they ought to behave in the line of duty.

They condemned the behaviour in the strongest terms.
