The eight police officers implicated in the murder of Mozambican taxi driver Mido Macia will appear in the Daveyton Magistrates court on Monday on a charge of murder.
Macia was tied to the back of a police van and dragged along the street in Daveyton and died at the local police cells several hours later.
Meanwhile the trial of seven policemen charged with killing protester Andries Tatane will continue in the Ficksburg Regional Court on Monday.
Tatane was killed in April 13, 2011, allegedly by police using rubber bullets during a service delivery protest in Ficksburg.
The case was postponed last year after the State cast doubt on its own witness, Captain Matshidio Lesomola.
He had been deployed in an observer capacity at the protest.
