JOHANNESBURG, February (ANA) - South Africa's consumer price inflation slowed to 4.4 percent year-on-year in January from 4.7 percent in December, the statistics agency said on Wednesday.
The consumer price index increased by 0.3 percent month-on-month in January, Statistics South Africa said.
Notably, the contribution of transport to the annual inflation figure decreased from 0.9 percentage points in December to 0.6 percentage points in January.
