A cloned police car, believed to have been used in at least 35 crimes has been recovered in Gauteng.
Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Katlego Mogale says the car was found after a robbery in Alberton.
Police found three unlicensed fire arms in the car, two 9mm pistols, a rifle and a bulletproof vest .
Mogale says the car was cloned to resemble a flying squad vehicle and had been reported in 35 cases around Gauteng suburbs.
Police believe there are more 3 more cars in circulation and that a syndicate may be involved.
No arrests have been made.
