Western Cape police are searching for the suspects who sprayed a Khayelitsha barber shop with bullets killing three children and an adult.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Andre’ Traut, said the shooting occurred at around 4 PM on Saturday.
He said an unknown number of gunmen entered the premises and opened fire, killing two children, aged 11 and 12, and a 30-year-old adult.
Traut said three other children were rushed to hospital, but a five-year-old later succumbed to his injuries.
The motive for the shooting is not known and detectives from the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit are investigating the incident.
