DURBAN, January 14 (ANA) – A three-year-old girl has died after being mauled by two pit bulls in Durban on Saturday afternoon, KwaZulu-Natal paramedics said.
Netcare 911 and provincial paramedics responded to Helmsley Grove in the Cato Manor area of Durban at about 5.10pm for a child that had been attacked by two pit bulls, Netcare 911 said in a statement on the Arrive Alive website.
“The exact detail to the incident and preceding events is still speculative. Paramedics arrived at the family home and found the three-year-old-girl with life threatening injuries. Paramedics from various services worked fervently to save the life of the severely mauled child. Tragically, despite all their effort the little girl was declared dead at the scene,” the statement said.
