Cape Town's Table Mountain Cableway turns 90


Cape Town's Table Mountain Cableway turns 90 this week and the owners are offering cut-price tickets to celebrate the milestone.

This coming Friday (4th October) will mark the 90th anniversary of operations at the Company and as a way of giving back, theye are offering a special month-long offer for R90 per return ticket.

This offer will be available for the month of October to anyone with a valid South African ID or birth certificate.

The cableway, with cabins holding up to 65 people and rotating floors for 360° views, has been operational since 4 October 1929.

Over the years they have received numerous accolades, such as being voted one of the official new 7 Wonders of Nature. They are also currently in the running for the title of 'World Leading Tourist Attraction', at the annual World Travel Awards.

(The regular price for a return ticket for an adult is R360)
