Cape Town poo protesters guilty

The Democratic Alliance in the Western Cape has welcomed the guilty verdict handed down to nine men accused of dumping faeces at Cape Town International Airport.

The men, all members of the Ses'khona movement, including leaders Andile Lili and Loyiso Nkohla,  were found guilty of contravening the Civil Aviation Act in the Bellville Regional Court on Thursday.

DA Leader, Dr Ivan Meyer, said the Western Cape had been terrorised by Ses'Khona for too long.

He claimed that the group was working from within the ANC  and misusing  the poorest in the community to extend their own power.

Meyer said the DA was calling for an appropriate sentence which would send a strong message to the offenders that political thuggery would not be tolerated.
