Cape Town mall's tennis faux pas causes 'global racket'

The Cape Quarter shopping centre in Green Point, Cape Town has admitted to taking their "eye off the ball" when a poster promoting the upcoming charity tennis match between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, mistakenly featured Novak Djokovic.

The promotional poster, inviting patrons to enjoy the food at the mall on match day, was put on display on Monday evening but quickly taken down by Tuesday morning.

A spokesperson from Centre Management who spoke to AlgoaFM News said the person responsible for the error felt "really bad".

She said her phone has not stopped ringing and she even had a call from the United Kingdom.

Tickets for the match between Federer and Nadal sold out in 10 minutes in September last year.

The match, which will take place on the 7th of February, will also be televised.

The photograph of the poster was shared on Twitter by @AlexPew2
