Western Cape Provincial Organised Crime Unit detectives are probing the kidnapping of a businessman in Parow on Wednesday morning.
Police spokesperson, Captain Frederick van Wyk, said the 69-year-old man was kidnapped in front of his business in Joubert Street at about 11 am by two armed suspects.
He said the victim, identified by News 24 as construction company founder, Ismail Rajah, was getting out of his car when he was confronted by two men armed with rifles.
Van Wyk said they bundled their victim into a charcoal Audi Q7 and fled the scene.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation to contact the police.
