The Congress of the People said the confirmation by Parliament that Brain Molefe will soon be sworn in as a Member of Parliament confirms what it had said about an imminent cabinet reshuffle.
“It is quite clear that Molefe will make his way up to the Cabinet,” said Cope MP, Dennis Bloem.
He said President Jacob Zuma and his faction in the ANC wants to see the back of Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan.
Bloem said it was “a disgrace and insult to the Office of the Public Protector who had named Molefe in her State of Capture report as one of the people captured by the Guptas.
He said Cope had also been reliabely informed that Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma would also be sworn in as an MP alongside Molefe.
