Cabinet has approved 4 Bills, including two relating to labour brokers, for submission to parliament.
The bills seek to align the Basic Conditions of Employment Act with the Labour Relations Act and to strengthen the legal basis for ensuring decent work in the labour market.
Labour Minister, Mildred Oliphant, says cabinet has implemented the ANC's resolutions and not Cosatu's which call for a total ban of labour brokers.
" additional amendments have been affected to these acts to achieve the following, to bring them in line with labour law developments to improve the functioning of the CCMA and to fulfill our obligation as a member state in the international labour organisation" Oliphant said.
