The Quad-Para Association has called on motorists and passengers alike to buckle up.
CEO, Ari Seirllis, said Friday that their members are out and about on national routes this long "on a mission to keep their numbers down".
Seirlis said wearing a seat belt drastically reduces the chances of spinal injuries in the event of an accident.
He said their award-winning road safety campaign will continue through Monday when most people are expected to head back home after Easter.
"We deploy quadraplegics and paraplegics who have been victims of road crashes to engage the public at petrol stations and the inform the public that if they use their seat-belt, in the event of a road crash the chances of a catastrophic injury, are reduced," said Seirilis.
"Buckl-up, we don't want new members," he said.
