A man is expected to appear in the Paarl magistrate's court on Friday in connection with the murder of his pregnant girlfriend, Nicola Pienaar.
The 32-year-old Jacobus Oosthuizen was arrested in Port Elizabeth on a vehicle theft charge for bein in possession of Pienaar's mother's car.
The matter was then transferred to Paarl where Oosthuizen pointed out to police where he had buried Pienaar's body.
He now faces additional charges of murder and fraud.
Oosthuizen initially told police that he had an argument with Pienaar in Oudtshoorn where he left her behind.
He has remained in custody since his arrest.
