The Pretoria accountant described as the "weak" member of the Boeremag is to apply for bail in the High Court in Pretoria, after spending 10 years in jail.
Last week, Adriaan van Wyk's lawyer Daan Moster, told Judge Eben Jordaan his client wanted to apply for bail.
This followed a remark by the judge that he was pondering if more years should be added to the over 10 years Van Wyk had already spent in jail awaiting trial.
Van Wyk and fellow-accused Jurie Vermeulen were the only two who said they would be ready to present argument regarding sentencing this week.
Lawyers for the rest of the 20 accused told the judge they needed until January next year to prepare.
All 20 of the accused have been convicted of high treason stemming from a right wing plot to violently overthrow the ANC government.
