Police in Ficksburg in the Free State are investigating a murder after a decomposed body was discovered inside a plastic bag, floating in a small dam at the local Golf Club on Saturday.
Spokesperson Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring says police received a complaint from the community about a suspicious white plastic bag floating inside the dam.
He says upon closer inspection the body of an unknown male was discovered inside the bag, which also contained a brick.
The victim is unknown at this stage but was wearing a green t-shirt, a blue pair of jeans and a pair of white tekkes.
WO Mophiring says the victim is estimated to be between the ages of 15 and 25.
A case of murder is under investigation.
