The National Sea Rescue Institute says the body of a 23-year-old Limpopo University student, who went missing in the sea at Umhlanga in Kwa Zulu Natal on Monday after being caught in a rip current, has been found.
NSRI spokesperson, Craig Lambinon says two brothers had decided to go for a swim before their flight to Johannesburg when tragedy struck.
He says the body was spotted and recovered at Clarkes Beach in Ballito on the north coast on Friday.
The man went missing while swimming at Eastmoor Crescent Beach, north of Durban on Monday.
"The body of the man has been taken into the care of Government Health Forensic Pathology Services. Condolences are conveyed to family and friends of the deceased man", Lambinon said.
