Body of kidnapped baby found

North West police said that the body of a 15-month old baby who was kidnapped at the beginning of the month has been found.

Police spokesperson, Colonel Adele Myburgh, said the grim discovery was made on Thursday in an open field in Jouberton following a search by community members and a local councillor.

She said that Mpho Kgoroyadira had been snatched by an intruder who broke into her mother’s house on 1 February.

Myburgh said a case of murder is under investigation and no arrests have been made.
