The bodies of two men have been found in a cave in Pacaltsdorp near George in the Western Cape.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm Pojie said a member of the public found the bodies at around 12:00 on Saturday afternoon.
Pojie said police suspect that the bodies might be those of two Pacaltsdorp residents who were recently reported missing.
He said they were 21-year-old Isaac-Lee Ismail and 25-year-old Andy Stoffels who went missing on 5 November.
Lt Col Pojie said more details were not yet available and a post-mortem would be conducted in order to determine the cause of death.
