The correctional services department has announced that the parole of the Waterkloof two has been revoked by the parole board.
Spokesperson Manelisi Wolela says the Correctional Supervision and Parole Board has decided that Frikkie du Preez and Christoff Becker will only be due for further consideration on parole after serving another 12 months in detention.
On the 16th of February, the two were re-arrested after footage of them allegedly drinking alcohol and using a cellphone in jail emerged.
They had been released just days earlier after being freed on parole along with Gert van Schalkwyk, and Reinach Tiedt after being jailed for beating a homeless man to death in Pretoria in 2001.
Wolela said an investigation into the role played by correctional officials in the case of the Waterkloof Two was almost complete.
