Another quake hits Gauteng

A 4.6 magnitude earthquake hit Johannesburg in the early hours of Friday morning.

The quake, which happened around 1am, is the second in South Africa in less than three weeks.

It occurred 12 km from Orange Farm, South of Johannesburg.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injury.

Earlier this month a 31-year-old man was killed near Orkney in North West when a 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck the region.

At least 34 miners were injured by the earthquake, and more than 600 houses damaged.
