The ANC's provincial executive committee in the Eastern Cape will join the rest of the country in prayer for the ailing former president Nelson Mandela.
Provincial secretary Oscar Mabuyane says they will gather at Madiba's home in Qunu and pray for his speedy recovery.
He adds that though the prayer gathering is open to all members of the public they encourage all party members to wear their ANC colours.
Former president Mandela has been in hospital since June 8th for a recurring lung infection.
