Two suspects charged with the murder of 56-year-old Hennenman farmer Pieter Hills and his 26-year-old son Eddie will be back in the Henneman Magistrate’s Court in the Free State on the 9th of December.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Phaladi Shuping says the two suspects abandoned their bid for bail on Monday.
Hill was shot and killed in an attack on his Swartpan Farm on the 5th of November and his son critically injured.
Eddie Hills died several days later in hospital.
Some 400 members of Free State Agriculture (FSA) attended Monday's court proceedings in support of the Hills family.
FSA President Francois Wilken said the organization's mission is to bring crime and especially farm murders to the public's attention.
