Rape survivor Alison Botha has handed a petition containing 11,000 signatures to the parole board, objecting to the possible release on parole of her attackers.
According to reports today, Botha told a Women's Day function in Bloemfontein this weekend about her petition, adding that she was waiting to hear what would happen to her attackers, Frans du Toit and Theuns Botha.
The two were jailed for life for the brutal attack on Botha in Port Elizabeth, but could be paroled in terms of legislation that came into effect last year.
The legislation allows for people jailed for life before 2004 to apply for parole after serving at least 13 years and four months.
Du Toit is being held at Grootvlei prison in Bloemfontein and Kruger is incarcerated at C-Max prison in Pretoria.
